Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00 hourly

A financial consultant based in West LA is seeking a temporary Jr. Administrative Assistant. Your duties will include answering light phones, scanning, filing, making copies, responding to emails and helping to type up documents. This is a small office and a very clerical role that requires someone with good office skills and an aptitude for math. There is a backload of filing so someone has to have good filing skills and be OK with clerical tasks. The hours are 8:30-5 with a half hour lunch and there is street parking. This is a temporary position with the potential to go full time for the right person. Once full time the salary is $17-$20/hour.

Your responsibilities in this role

– Word processing, faxing, data entry, filing, and scanning

– Arranging orders for supplies and services, and tracking progress and results

– Delegating telephone calls and managing a multiline phone system

– Adjusting schedules and activities

– Creating spreadsheets, checking presentations, and aiding special projects

– Assisting with calendars, including the coordination of meetings and conferences

– Help out on diverse projects for other employees as required

– Admitting and leading visitors

– Analyzing and fact-checking documents

Job Requirements:
– Great attention to detail

– Scanning experience required

– Typing 45 – 60 words per minute experience desired

– 1+ years of administrative support experience

– Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

– Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

– Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

– Internet research skills
