Managing a small team of 2-4 employees, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll tax filings for multiple entities and multiple states as well as managing the preparation and review process of weekly and bi-weekly payroll journals and all payroll-related journal entries.nn nn A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES nn nnDesign, maintain,n and produce payroll reporting of wages, tax withholdings, deductions, etc.nn nnPrepare and process tax registrationsnn nnMonitor the transmission of employee tax withholdings data to ADP and track the processing of payments by ADP to agencies and jurisdictions across multiple states for multiple entitiesnn nnPrepare payroll reports for weekly and bi-weekly pay runs that support the payroll journals, salary and vacation accruals, reports for division finance teams, and ad-hoc requests for inquiries from finance teams, audit and HRnn nnAdminister Workday payroll tax system table data and rates to ensure integrity and calculationsnn nnUtilize ADP SmartCompliance to maintain regulatory compliancenn nnReport and file quarterly taxesnn nnPrepare W-2 forms including quarterly balancing and reconciliationnn nnPartner with the finance and accounting teams to post payroll journals and complete account reconciliationsnn nnLiaison with Workday IT team and Finance teams to determine account mapping for all pay components and deduction typesnn nnManage tax registrations of new company entities and new jurisdictionsnn nnManage the escheatment processnn nnResearch and respond to employee inquiries about their paystubs and W-2nn nnPerform research and gather documents for audits and various inquiriesnn nn WHAT YOU WILL NEED nn nn10+ years preferred related experience with payroll tax filing, registrations, and accountingnn nnExperience managing, developing, and training staffnn nnExperience conducting multi-state tax filing and registration for a large companynn nnKnowledge of related tax rules and regulationsnn nnAbility to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet time-sensitive deadlinesnn nnDetail-oriented and have an eye for accuracynn nn NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER nn nnBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar positionnn nnExperience with Workday GL and Payrollnn nnExperience with systems integrationsnn nn We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
