Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning, Analysis & Systems with excellent customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters.
Under the general supervision and direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Financial Planning, Analysis and Systems directs the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions.
This position also drives the financial systems technology roadmap development and implementation of all financial systems for the agency.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience required, Master’s of Business Administration degree preferred At least 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis required At least 5 years of experience in financial systems administration, implementation, and support required Availability to work flexible hours as needed Drive the annual planning and periodic forecasting processes utilizing analytical tools and models, working closely with senior management Create a culture of on-going planning by implementing a structured forecasting process Prepare financial analysis for health centers and programs.
Present findings to senior leadership and develop materials for Board Meetings Lead the preparation of accurate reports, variance analysis, and commentary as part of the monthly forecasting and management reporting process.
Design and improve methodologies supporting the creation of detailed financial models Proactively deliver timely and accurate reporting to monitor monthly and quarterly financial changes.
Prepare and summarize business insights for management team Develop key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to support management financial awareness and drive fiscal responsibility Collaborate regularly with Controller and accounting team to ensure alignment between budget and actuals as well as understand what is driving variances Create and maintain training materials and procedural documents as it pertains to budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning Serve as the FP&A go-to person for operations.
Provide regular updates to the executive team and cross functional leaders on their financials, budgets and forecasts Prepare the annual operating and capital budget and forecasts including long-range planning through research and analysis of information from leadership, the EMR and financial systems Analyze financial metrics to spot trends and recommend action Respond to Management questions by researching and analyzing data Supervise and manage Accounting Analyst assignments and priorities Subject matter expert in finance technology and transformation.
Support Finance leaders to develop technology strategies (roadmaps) and implement technology solutions to meet their specific business needs Drive the selection and successful implementation of ERP and FP&A systems to enable scalability of business processes Proactively partner with financial systems providers to understand and deliver new system functionality and solutions to support accounting, reporting, financial planning, revenue cycle, and all other PPLA financial systems Partner with IT on cross-functional technology and application initiatives that impact the overall organization such as NextGen application upgrades and development of key financial applications Offer technical guidance to deployment discussions and change management / control activities Identify opportunities for improved business processes and application designs Train and collaborate with other finance team members on model development, query use, and visualization / reporting best practices Ensure proper testing of financial systems and reports following system deployments, upgrades, or business requirement changes Oversee financial system implementation projects by supporting design of business cases; managing and facilitating fit gap analysis and system design sessions; planning, prioritizing, leading, and executing system upgrade and new implementation projects; and designing and overseeing training, documentation, reporting, and change management Manage support and maintenance of financial systems and interfaces to meet the day-to-day operational needs of the organization
