JOB TITLE: Director of Finance – Remote Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee accounting support for multiple facilities of varying complexity, including ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, and anesthesia services.
- Perform monthly close in accordance with GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Monthly Income Statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of Surgery Centers financial reports with Operations.
- Ensure General Ledger and Onestream integrity is maintained.
- Participate in annual budget process and review.
- Act as key point of contact for external and internal auditors.
- Serve as a partner to operations leaders to analyze, identify and guide financial performance of the business.
- Assist in ongoing accounting operations that will deliver continuous improvement around standardization, scalability, and automation.
- Identify and implement best practices which are scalable across the enterprise.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- BS Accounting Degree
- Must have Healthcare Experience
- Must have at Management experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and experience with influencing deciphering financial data into actionable operational information while influencing operational management
- Manage up to 3 direct reports and 10 indirect reports
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding of new talent (external hires and internal promotions/transfers)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Financial statements closed within days 8 or 9 (as applicable)
- Compliance with all SOX control expectations and ability to identify/resolve any deficiencies
- Positive feedback from operators and corporate function leaders
- Successful onboarding of new talent, with no regrettable turnover experienced.
- Must be self-starter and motivated o learn the business as well as the different systems, as applicable
- Must be able to work well in team environment
- Must be detail-oriented but also able to see big picture
- Must have knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirements and comfort working with JV partners
- Must be comfortable training team members
- Must have advanced database management (data warehouse, excel, etc.)
- Preferred – prior experience managing a team
- Preferred – experience with Solomon General Ledger
- Preferred – experience with Onestream
- Mentor at least 1 internal professional
