Position Summary: Supports and promotes workplace diversity, equity and inclusion efforts throughout CHLA.
Under the direction of the Vice President & Chief DEI Officer, the Director supports planning and implementation of DEI-related programs and services, in alignment with the organization’s Mission, Vision and Values, strategic goals and priorities, with the objective of creating and enhancing a workplace culture that respects, appreciates and leverages diversity, equity and inclusion for achieving high performance, quality, engagement and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications : 5 or more years of progressive experience in diversity, equity and/or inclusion program administration, organizational development, or related field required.
Strong communication, collaboration, planning and execution skills required.
Professional experience in a complex and/or matrixed organization is strongly preferred.
Other professional experience in academia, healthcare, and/or corporate settings is preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Social Work, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Advanced degree and/or relevant specialized certificates (e.g., diversity professional, training, human resources, organizational development, employee relations, employment law, etc.) preferred.
You must be willing to reside in the state of California, and have a primary work site in the state of California, to be considered for this position.
