Director, Business Equity Programs

We are seeking an inspirational, strategic, operational and collaborative leader to lead Meta’s efforts to achieve equitable outcomes for underrepresented and historically-underserved communities through our business practices, activities, and partnerships.This person will lead the Business Equity programs team, which spans a wide remit including increasing our pipeline of business partners receiving scaled outreach and support, improving representation of business partners supported by our managed partnership organizations and other resources (including financial investment), and ensuring these programs and activities achieve equitable business outcomes for target partners and the historically-underserved communities they serve spanning multiple industries that Meta supports – including advertising, creators, media and more.In addition, this person will lead Meta’s Business Equity cross-functional operations, supporting equity-related efforts across the full range of the Meta Business Group (MBG) and other external-facing functions of the company, and represent all “business equity” activities in cross-company Equity priorities and initiatives, in close partnership with leadership from Product, Policy, DEI, Civil Rights, Marketing and Communications leadership.Beyond leading existing and nascent efforts, this person must develop, articulate, and generate organizational support for a clear, forward-looking, global vision for how Meta can better accomplish its mission and business goals by disproportionately supporting historically-underserved communities via our business practices – and be able to create, lead and execute new programs designed to increase the company’s positive impact in these areas.

Director, Business Equity Programs Responsibilities:

Lead all business equity program strategy development, operations, and results across Meta. Optimize positive impact for target partners in service of Meta’s mission and top business priorities
Manage and lead multiple business equity programs teams, spanning pipeline acquisition and development, managed partner equity, cross-company Business Equity while leading development of new high-impact initiatives
Partner closely with Meta leadership to execute and scale program success across multiple areas of Meta’s business, and skillfully address and resolve any issues/blockers impeding progress
Develop and execute future vision and roadmap to grow impact of business equity programs across multiple business areas, regions, and communities over time
Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives
Implement systems to track and measure outcomes and learnings from this work in conjunction with Business Planning & Operations and Analytics teams
Clearly communicate measurable results, case studies, and learnings across key stakeholders both internally and externally
Work closely with cross-functional leadership across Meta to communicate the importance of this work, generate enthusiasm and interest, secure proper levels of support, resolve conflicts, and unlock resources and accountability to drive success. This includes the Meta Business Group and additional key stakeholders including product, engineering, product marketing, business planning and operations, marketing, policy, legal, data science, communications, DEI, etc.
Lead executive-level internal briefings regarding strategic direction, progress reports, key decisions and escalations as appropriate
Selectively engage in partner-facing interactions and external activities as needed
Serve as a Meta company spokesperson on issues of business equity
Key leader driving Meta’s company-level Equity efforts spanning Business, Product, People, Policy, and Marketing Communications
Participate in cross-functional Equity-related projects and priorities across Meta as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

BA or BS degree
15+ years experience in strategic program management leadership roles and/or executive leadership of highly cross-functional operations
5+ years of experience with team leadership, people management, and cross-functional team leadership
Experience synthesizing disparate inputs into clear vision and operational strategy
Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and problem-solving experience
Experience translating strategy into an operational plan and drive to completion
Experience leading cross-functional teams, and motivating and holding people accountable for deliverables and business goals without a formal reporting structure
Experience working in a highly collaborative manner across a variety of business functions and geographies
Experience communicating at all levels of the organization
Knowledge of Meta products, Meta the company, and social media
