Job Requirements
You are an accounting professional with at least 3 years of prior experience documenting financial transactions and performing relevant analysis and ad-hoc reporting.
You’ve previously done accounting at a medium-sized company where you’ve worked with an accounting team of 3+ people.
You’ve worked in enterprise billing software.
You’re comfortable working in the Sage 100 and Great Plains financial platforms.
You have a disciplined eye to spot flaws – mathematical errors, inconsistencies, and pain points.
You’re able to pass our background check and drug and nicotine screenings.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Participate in full-cycle accounting, including schedule proper general ledger postings and reconciliations; maintain consistent, strict monthly reporting schedule; prepare journal entries accurately; reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies; process month-end billings.
Prepare and file payroll-related government reports, such as payroll taxes and quarterly labor reports.
Perform monthly accrual and variance analysis.
Maintain fixed asset modules.
Capture budget data by department and functional area to create an operating budget and forecast.
Consolidate different legal entities for financial reporting and budget.
Monthly gross margin analysis to identify cost savings.
Labor efficiency utilization analysis.
Cost of sales analysis, both on service and sales revenue.
Work with external auditors to drive completion of annual audit process.
Identify areas of improvement and create new mechanisms to promote efficiency, organization, and accuracy.
