Job description
Our client is seeking a Finance/Accounting professional with a deep understanding of how to grow the department without having administrative functions slow down the organization.
The ideal candidate will be one who is able to “tell us what we don’t know” and make suitable implementations of tools and personnel which will enable the company to carry out its mission.
Core responsibilities
Lead the finance team (4 people, plus external accountants), which is responsible for managing the accounting, payroll, and other finance functions for multiple entities in different jurisdictions Manage core financial processes, including: Accounting (including managing external accountants/auditors/tax planners & managing monthly closing process) Governance and internal controls (i.e.
managing corporate processes that control entities + finances) Reporting (i.e.
to Executive Director, budget owners, etc) Manage internal systems, policies and procedures to allow for growth of all entities.
Interface with Management, Treasury, Legal, and other teams to help them achieve their goals through the data that is collected by Finance.
Work with teammates involved in planning by providing Actual/Historical data.
This will allow the collective organization to better shape Budgets/Forecasts and assist with monitoring spending and metrics.
Assist leaders with providing metrics and industry comparables to allow for benchmarking of spending and compensation.

What experience should they have?
7+ years in a CFO, VP of Finance or / Financial Controller role, or equivalent experience.
Prior background at a Big 4, investment bank or commercial bank Nice to have: Experience with treasury / asset allocation management Experience with non-profits or comparable organizations Experience either working in or has deep knowledge of the crypto industry
