Job Description Review monthly JV financial statements and underlying support, including budget to actual variance report Prepare financial package for reporting to outside institutional partners and uphold relationship Review monthly construction loan draws and manage related banking relationship Review cash projections on a monthly basis to determine distributions Review capital calls as needed Review quarterly sub-partnership financial statements and underlying support Review quarterly financials for lender reporting Review investments budgets on an annual basis and work with property management on key assumptions Prepare budget packages to report to outside institutional partners Review year end tax package and financial statements Manage up to 7 property accountants Coordinate annual financial statement audit engagements and related audit requests with external audit team Ensure accounting is in accordance with US GAAP Engage with brokers to understand underlying transaction and walk through the transaction with the accountants Review new entities structures and complete new entity JDE set up procedures Identify and implement new processes that allows for more efficient use of time and effective results Help and challenge team members in building their understanding of accounting Prepare and enforce application of internal accounting policy in accordance with GAAP Meet internal and external reporting deadlines Hold relationship with bankers for purposes of loan draws and managing operating bank accounts Work with tax and insurance department during audit/review (e.g.

workman’s comp audits, etc.) Review coding of invoices and sign checks Qualifications Prior supervisory experience Positive attitude Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and 5 years of experience in real estate accounting Solution-oriented mindset; demonstrates persistence to overcome obstacles Demonstrates quality and attention to detail Responsive, operates with sense of urgency Excellent written communication High proficiency in Excel Build office ethics Strong interpersonal skills and is tactful/treats others with respect CPA (active or inactive) preferred but not required Public Accounting experience preferred but not required
