We are seeking a Controller/CFO to join our growing single family office.
The office has been invested in a wide range of investments including real estate, hedge funds, private equity, and single securities.
The individual in this position must be a full charge, independent professional, i.e., experienced and knowledgeable enough to handle the day-to-day work without assistance, to seek out other opinions/expert input where needed, and elevate matters to the attention of the CIO and CEO as appropriate.
Major duties/responsibilities: Monthly preparation of financials for various investment entities Responsibility for all investment accounting and bookkeeping functions Maintenance and improvement of internal financial controls Preparation of monthly, annual and YTD performance reports Collaboration with tax professionals in preparation of tax packages for various entities Ad-hoc analyses and projects for the CIO and CEO Monitor vendors/professional fees invoices We are looking for someone with at least 7 years of experience in fund accounting, either directly at a family office or at a hedge fund.
CPA is required.
