• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Direct daily department AP, credit and collections, financial statements, cash management and treasurynn nn
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectivesnn nn
• Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.nn nn nn nnReportingnn nn
• Issue timely and complete financial statementsnn nn
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual reportnn nn
• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operationsnn nn
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metricsnn nn
• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecastsnn nn
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to managementnn nn
•Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual auditnn nn
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsnn nn nn nnWhat they’re looking for:nn nn nn nn
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting leadership rolenn nn
• CPA is a big plusnn nn
• Strong work stabilitynn nn
• Excellent presentation and communications skillsnn nn
