Controller

nnThe Controller is responsible for leading the financial and operational accounting activities of VEGAMOUR.

The position will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the ongoing accounting process and the integrity of the monthly financial reporting of the brand.

Along with these processes, the position is expected to represent the Accounting function when interacting with both internal and external business partners.

nn nn n nn nnDay to day responsibilities include but are not limited to: nn nnExecute the monthly financial close process for VEGAMOUR
– deliver accurate financial results, including comprehensive analysis of key margin, expense and balance sheet items nn nnProvide monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting package to internal and external stakeholders.

nn nnManage ongoing operational accounting activities: Accounts Payable, Banking & Cash Management, Inventory Management, Audit and Tax compliance.

nn nnManage ERP implementation requirements as it impacts financial management and reporting integrity.

Work with implementation team and the VEGAMOUR key stakeholders to ensure that the balance of best practice and efficiency are met during and post-implementation.

nn nnOwn process of implementing and improving financial controls throughout the brand nn nnEvaluate current processes and tools to drive efficiencies and value
– add enhancements nn nn n nn nnREQUIRED SKILLS nn nnBachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

MBA not required but a plus.

nn nnDeep experience in NetSuite (or comparable ERP system), both implantation and day to day operation (effectively at the superuser level) nn nn4-5 years of experience in Audit.

1-3 years as an Operator in an Accounting role with a track record of growth and advancement.

nn nnAs an Operator or while in Audit, you were part of a High-Growth DTC/ECOM brand.

If, in Audit, you were the Manager of the engagement.

nn nnAs an Operator, you either directly managed or oversaw the management of inventory valuation and related aspects of inventory accounting (e.g.

assembly builds, landed costs, inventory write-ups/write-downs, supplier deposits) nn nnPeople Management.

Vendor Management (e.g.

Tax and Audit Firms) nn nnCPA required nn nnDemonstrate strong financial accounting, analytical and problem
– solving skills; strong working knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley nn nnStrong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in business partnering and ability to influence peers and senior management nn nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated presentation experience nn nnAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines nn nnExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various management levels nn nnDetail oriented with strong organizational skills nn nn n nn nnREQUIRED EXPERIENCE nn nnDemonstrated team-building skills, customer service experience, and problem resolution skills Demonstrated initiative, ability to drive and achieve results and goals with minimal direction nn nnProven track record of implementing successful projects and related best practices, both technical and operational nn nnProven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions and to clearly communicate complex ideasnn
