The team
Our growing Finance team is split between the Bay Area and Tel Aviv. This role will report to the VP Finance and will manage 3-4 staff.
Your impact
Compile GAAP & non-GAAP financial statements and reporting packages, including Budget Vs. Actual and KPI s on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Supervise, manage and guide the monthly close activities.
Assess technical accounting issues for appropriate financial treatment.
Manage the transition from ASC-606 to ASC-944
Assist with operationalizing the adoption of ASC 842
Lead the accounting transition from an MGA to a full stuck carrier.
Oversee worldwide consolidations and intercompany transactions.
Deliver quality documentation to our external auditors to complete our annual audit.
Assist with compilation of information for corporate tax returns & provisions.
Coach and mentor staff on the team.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to participation in special projects, or ad hoc analyses as assigned.
In this role we value
Work experience as a Controller or similar role
6+ years of progressive Accounting experience with a background in Insurance or the InsurTech industry
Track record of leading, growing, and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on hands-on development and coaching
CPA strongly preferred
Familiarity with Netsuite preferred
Proactive and self-motivated to solve problems; comfortable with a high degree of responsibility in ambiguous situations
Excellent organization skills with attention to detail and completeness
Adaptable to a fast changing work environment while able to work well under stress and tight deadlines.
