Controller

The Controller will report directly to the VP of Finance & Strategy and should be experienced in all aspects of accounting management, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget & audit related projects. Company a dynamic and fast growing new division and we re looking for someone who is excited by a startup-like environment

Responsibilities:

  • Assist VP of Finance & Strategy with the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P
  • Oversee the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic program review audits
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance and Controller as needed
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 5-7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with financial statement preparation for all types of legal entities
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Experience with various accounting software administration ‘” Navision, Hyperion will be helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
