but our greatest investment is in you!The Mortgage Closing Auditor will review comprehensive loan files, data collection and document verification to comply with regulatory requirements under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).

They will assist in the monitoring of other loans and state regulatory with company policies.What you’ll do:Maintain knowledge of the CIVIC Quality Control policies and procedures to make sound judgements on reviewed package, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed with demonstrated knowledge date validation.Coordinate objectives with Mortgage Closing Auditor Manager and/or department managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs by determining root cause with corrective action.Perform component quality control review of mortgage loan documentation and complete loan origination system data fields when validating and balancing the final Settlement statement transaction fees.Input accurate data field requirements under HMDA regulations.Review designated monetary transactions for accuracy, proper authorization, validating computations, such as interest adjustments, prepayment calculations, etc.Assess servicing activities, such as hazard insurance accuracy, demands and collateral releases, for compliance with established company policies and procedures.Document accurate audit findings that contain useful information in the right amount of detail to allow management to elicit an appropriate response, including timely corrective actions.Maintain audit exception report documentation in an organized and accessible manner as evidence of review and correction.Responsible for detecting fraud and reporting trends to help mitigate credit risk through the loan closing or life cycle.Assists Manager in compiling data and maintain finding reports to identify trends and risk.Ensures a high level of unified communication to effectively support, engage and connect with sales, operations, management and other departments within the organization.Communicate and strive to accomplish a specific goal.

Supports development of peers and self in training; identifies and resolvesproblems and/or conflicts.

Work parallel and hold the responsibility of direct accomplishment of goals and/or assigned projects.

Achieves team standards for quantity and quality service.

What you’ll need:Associates Degree required; or a combination of education and experience.1+ years of related experience in Mortgage Loan Processing, Funding, Escrow or Quality Control Auditor.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.), imaging system and internetExperience using Loan Operating System Encompass is a plus.Detailed-orientedDependable, self-starter with a sense of urgencyMake recommendations and/or solutions to management in order to improve its programs and operationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong initiative and ownership of responsibilitiesStrong interpersonal skills with a team player attitudePossess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize workFlexible with the ability to perform in high paced environmentManage and complete all daily tasks and assigned projects on timeResponsible to evaluate assigned work load and communicate to management if assistance is neededPossess the ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skillsMakes an effort to act in advance either to prepare for a situation or prevent itWhat’s in it for you?We have a strong focus on going above and beyond when it comes to caring for our team members and our communities.
