Alliance Resource Group has been retained by a well-capitalized, modern media content and digital advertising company headquartered in the heart of Los Angeles. • Timely reporting to the BOD, Private Equity partner, and other constituents of financial statements and related information
  • Providing analysis and reporting on underlying issue drivers on real time basis, including revenue, operating income, payroll and other key financial metrics
  • Proactively managing costs and implementing and enforcing cost controls
  • Closing monthly books on time (under 10 business days)
  • Cash flow management and reporting, including preparation of 13-week cash flow forecast
  • Leading budget creation and forecasting efforts
  • Producing a monthly financial package including P&L (30-day reporting cycle), Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Owners Equity, and MD&A write up
  • Understanding and managing the Credit Agreements and Loan Covenants
  • Providing performance analytics for the business including lead flow analysis, sales compensation, end of day statistics and trend data, and sales floor metrics and trends
  • Performing cost/benefit/ROI analyses to evaluate current and proposed projects
  • Other ad hoc analyses to support the evaluation of internal financial and operating performance within the business

IDEAL BACKGROUND

  • Prospective candidates for the role will possess relevant finance & accounting experience in roles of increasing scope and scale, sophistication, and responsibility within the media content/digital advertising space, respected for their performance, innovation, and creativity, as well as the quality and talent of their people.
  • 12-16 years’ experience in accounting and financial management, preferably with experience as a CFO of a private equity backed business operating in a leveraged environment.
  • Industry knowledge and leadership experience working in a digital content/media advertising / subscription/membership-based business
  • Experience partnering with private equity firms
  • Experience modeling and leveraging data / metrics to drive membership/subscriptions and brand awareness, while minimizing customer acquisition costs

  • As important as their technical, functional, and commercial skills and performance will be, the new Chief Financial Officer must be excited by the prospect of partnering with the CEO and Private Equity firm on the full range of strategic, financial (acquisition, DD, & integration), and leadership functions referenced above.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, MS Excel, and strong knowledge of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint and Word.
