We are looking for an experienced Controller or CFO to perform effective risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships.
They will collaborate with the President and the executive team, building processes and procedures for expense reduction, receivables, and cash management; make decisions regarding the company’s financial strategy and operations, overseeing 6 different divisions.
The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.
Responsibilities
Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to the President Support the financial planning and analysis efforts Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits Prepare financial statements and reports Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions Manage relationships with banks Manage vendor relationships Manage team, reviews, pay plans, hours, etc.
Manage company receivables, working with our branch locations to oversee the billing and receivables to maximize company and branch profits Manage commissions paid to referral sources Work with Corporate Human Resource Department and act as the liaison for the Midway Group.
Oversee all hiring aspects, background checks, financial training, etc.
Work with the DMV for taxes, license plates, etc.
Qualifications
Strong finance-based analytical skills 7
– 10 years of finance experience CPA or MBA preferred but not required
Requirements
Proven experience as CFO, Controller, or relevant role In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g.
SAP) Ability to strategize and solve problems Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and people skills An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers Knowledge of CRM usage
Education
Preferred Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field Bachelors or better in Finance or related field Behaviors
