Business Systems Analyst – Financials

The Business System Analyst Plans and directs analysis of complex business problems to be solved using Oracle EBS Financials with focus on financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Intercompany, Tax, Costing, SLA, and Costing). Knowledge and experience in Cloud Financials will be preferable. A Day In the Life at Wonderful Solution Development Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures and problems. Define IT solutions to various business needs and communicate in clear terms to business unit management the IT solution alternatives and assist them in their decision making. Create and update business process documents as it relates to financials processes such as month end closing. Create requirements document, functional specification documents, unit and integrated test scenario documents and other relevant artifacts necessary for implementation of IT solutions. Operational Support Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving day-to-day IT issues as it relates to financial applications. Supporting the businesses on the core financial as well as on the custom process — the core modules are GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA, Intercompany, Tax, Costing, Reporting tools like Discoverer. Supporting the SCM modules like PO, OM and INV which are integrated tightly with the financial modules. Understanding and supporting the manufacturing process and solution and its impact on the finance module. This include supporting the account derivations of the accounting events and the reconciliation processes. Troubleshooting, analyzing, identifying the root cause using TOADSQL Developer queries and providing the businesses the Ad hoc reports as and when requested. Create or update end user training documents and guides. Provide hands-on training to end users on various aspects of applications. Coordinating and guiding offshore team for faster issue resolution. Resolving product issues by opening, updating and escalating service tickets with product vendors. Providing production support using service management tools and procedures for tracking, user communication and service level management. Ability to work on on-site offshore model Ability to support the businesses for Cloud Financial modules GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA, Intercompany, Tax, Costing, Project Billing and Costing, Reporting tools like OTBI is preferred. Project and Task Management Create and maintain project plans to implement approved IT projects. Monitor and control project activities per the plan and communicate status to key stakeholders. Implementing and following projects and enhancements using appropriate tools and methodologies. Communicate and coordinate reports and other technical development from geographically dispersed teams. Should have experience in at least 1 full life cycle implementations in Oracle Financials or support experience for 1 year in Oracle Financials in a multi-divisional environment. Experience in Oracle Cloud Financial Modules with at least 1 full life cycle implementations and support is preferredStrong functional knowledge in core Oracle Application is a must. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.Functional Skills Oracle General Ledger. Oracle Accounts Payable. Oracle Accounts Receivables. Oracle Fixed Assets. Cash Management Intercompany Module EB Tax Sub Ledger Accounting Module Approval Management — PO, GL, AP Cost Accounting Module Multiple legal entities, Ledgers and currency setup. Finance Accounting related setups and impact in Oracle ManufacturingInventory, Purchasing and Order Management modules. Knowledge of month-end close processes and related issue resolution. Working knowledge in EBS R12 version. Knowledge on Cloud Fusion Financial applications (Preffered) Technical Skills Desktop Integrator Reporting Tool — Oracle Reports, Discoverer etc.. Working knowledge of SQL Exposure to Hyperion Financial Management tool and integration to Oracle (preferred). Knowledge on Oracle Cloud Reporting Tools like OTBI, FRS, FRC, SmartView etc..(Preffered) Project Process Skills Willingness to learn and support new application modules and technologies. Knowledge of AIM or equivalent project implementation methodology and deliverables. Knowledge of standard project management and milestone-based task management. Ability to work in a multi-project environment and support multiple internal customers. Knowledge of industry best practice approaches and standards.
