We are looking for someone who has a passion to serve, enjoys mission-driven work and thrives in a teamwork culture.We currently are seeking a Payroll Staff Accountant at our Los Angeles Center.

This position is responsible for:Processing and committing bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in DayforceProcessing all new hires, changes, and or updates in VanguardProcessing accurate and timely year end reporting to include W-2’sManaging and processing garnishments/levies, and employment verificationsCapturing all employees time and attendanceFollowing up with employees’ managers for updates or changes regarding time and attendanceUploading and updating all vacation and sick balance from Dayforce to Kronos time and attendance systemDownloading and reviewing all payroll reports for accuracyWorking as an entry leave accountant for payroll related audit schedules, departmental reports, budget reports and all other related duties assignedManaging the taxation of employer-paid benefitsPerforming compliance for unclaimed payroll checksWorking on projects on an as needed basisProviding positive and continued support to employees and members of management on a regular basisMinimum Requirements:Four (4) year college degree major in Accounting and Finance preferredAt least three (3) to five (5) years of Payroll experience preferredEntry level accountant for payroll related auditsExperience with processing bi-weekly payroll processesWorking knowledge of payroll and timekeeping processing systems, Kronos and Dayforce preferredBraille Institute is an equal opportunity employer (EEOC).
