When you join Varsity, you will be a part of that purpose.(br((br(Varsity is seeking a highly motivated professional for the position of Bookkeeper/Accountant.(br((br(The Bookkeeper contributes to the overall success of the Company by effectively managing accounting and finance functions.

Those service include records, information systems and administration.

Attention to detail, consistent and accurate execution of accounting tasks, and demonstrating understanding of finance, budgets, and the impact the business are all key to this role.(br((br((strong(PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(br((/strong((ul((li(Maintain detailed records of all bookkeeping transactions(/li((li(Keep detailed records of transactions, decisions, and changes to general ledger(/li((li(Develop and maintain systems to provide up to date and accurate finance and accounting information, including monthly reporting.(/li((li(Perform AP functions including bill entry, scheduling for payment, bill verification, and reconciliation(/li((li(Update cash flow report with billing information(/li((li(Update the budget with actuals and report monthly(/li((li(Perform AR functions including client invoicing for services and products weekly(/li((li(Handle follow-up on past due invoices as needed(/li((li(Update bill.com for AR and AP as needed.

Prepare payments weekly for approval.(/li((li(Reconcile banking, credit, and vendor accounts weekly.(/li((li(Respond to customer inquiries on billing in a timely manner(/li((li(Weekly tracking of orders, procurement, and costs(/li((li(Weekly reporting and reconciliation of product costs to revenue(/li((li(Be a B-Corp mission advocate both internally and externally.

(/li((li(Assist manager with new employee setup in HRIS and payroll systems(/li((li(Ensure background checks are completed and document(/li((li(Prepare payroll for approval weekly(/li((li(Assist with HR/Payroll vendor communication and follow-up tasks(/li((li(Assist with Talent acquisition process as needed as directed by the President or other managers (br((br((/li((/ul((strong(Requirements(br((/strong((ul((li(Minimum of BA/BS in accounting, finance, or math(/li((li(EA, CPA, or equivalent knowledge of basic accounting practices and controls(/li((li(At least 5 years’ experience in a financial role(br((br((/li((/ul((strong(Benefits(br((br((/strong(Varsity Technologies is an equal opportunity employer looking to develop a diverse workforce that shares in our corporate and community values.
