Assistant Controller

Description: Monthly accounting close process for eight sets of books including recordation of monthly corporate operational activity Monthly preparation of schedules to support the balance sheet and income recordation Record management fee income, asset management fee income and ancillary income monthly.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for 12 different bank accounts Process payroll wires and initiate reimbursements from properties via intercompany transactions Record all pass-through costs to the properties Maintain and reconcile the self-retention fund Record earnings and distributions from its investments in various affiliated real estate entities Maintain fixed assets, calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization expense Review, reconcile and record monthly activity from the corporate American Express card purchases Review and record monthly health insurance and other benefit payments Review expense report reimbursements processed by the corporate AP Responsible for the positive pay bank account and its reconciliation and settlement with properties Record the Company”s airplane costs monthly and prepare and analyze detail data related to its use Record monthly accrued liabilities Record monthly G expenses such as rent, CAM/Tax, utilities and other operating expenses Review budget to actual cost variances and investigate and explain significant variances Analysis of financial data and assist with ad hoc projects Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.Skills:Excel, Quickbooks, Property Management, AccountingTop Skills Details:Real EstateGAAPFinancial reportingAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.

C.P.A.
