As an Accounting Analyst for our ACGI team in Marshfield, MO, and under the direction of the Plant Controller you will be accountable performing assignments related to cost accounting, financial integration, and reconciliation.
A significant portion of your time as Accounting Analyst will be spent assisting with analysis, reporting, and accounting process improvement initiatives associated with ACGI’s financial performance and internal controls.
What you’ll be doing:
• Researching how quantify, implement, and generate cost savings opportunities and cost reduction initiatives for the plant
• Performing cost accounting analysis, reconciliation, and inventory control
• Preparing standardized plant reports on production and key performance indicators
• Developing monthly accounting forecasts based on production drivers and KPIs
• Analyzing metrics and developing on-going performance projections
• Conducting monthly and annual compliance audits for cycle count procedures
• Overseeing fixed asset control and reconciliation activities
• Guaranteeing that internal control procedures are in place for SOX compliance
• Managing and minimizing financial risk and developing of plant budgets
• Driving a lean culture by participating in Gemba walks, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions
• Carrying out manufacturing operations financial analysis, including ad hoc studies for Senior Management
• Evaluating requests for capital expenditures and Lean cost reduction projects
• Ensuring that major plant projects, capital, and expense policies are compliant with GAAP and AWI policies Requirements that will make you successful: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar 4 years of experience working within an Accounting or Finance role Familiarity working within a manufacturing environment Ability to link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Customer-focused mentality and strong attention to detail Capability to deliver accurate, quality, and timely results Strong MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of SAP Manufacturing cost expertise Why should you join ACGI, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries?

(ACGI), a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, Inc.
(AWI), is one of twelve AWI plants in North America.
Our Marshfield plant in south western Missouri is conveniently located within 3 hours to large cities such as Tulsa, Kansas City, and St.
Louis as well as within 30 minutes to the smaller city of Springfield.
However, it’s rural attributes serve to also attract outdoorsmen and nature enthusiasts.
Eight large lakes are within an hour’s drive, two smaller lakes are within 30 minutes.
All offer an array of outdoor opportunities including fishing, boating, skiing, and sailing.
Hiking, biking, wildlife areas, streams, and other river opportunities are within a short drive including the Niangua and Compton Hollow Conservation Areas just outside of Marshfield’s city limits.
