JOB DESCRIPTION
Fast growing manufacturer in Vernon, CA is seeking a part-time Accounting Specialist or Full-Charge Bookkeeper with experience in the following areas: Quickbooks, AR/AP and factor and E-commerce experience is a plus.

This is a very hands-on role that is crucial to the functionality of our business.

Job is part-time and would take place three days a week.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1) Strong background with accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliation.
2) Compiles and sorts documents, such as: mail, invoices, checks and substantiates business transactions.
3) Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as: funds received and disbursed; totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
4) Inputs customer invoices, calculates DTC sales, reconciles sales monthly and calculates and processes monthly sales tax prepayment.

5) Investigates and resolves variances with vendor and customer accounts.
6) Prepares invoices, checks, account statements, reports, general ledger accounts with various registers; extracts general ledger information; reconciles bank statements and compiles financial statements; prepares other reports as requested.
7) Monitors accounts payable and receivables to ensure that payments are up to date.

Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to University accounting procedures.
8) Manages payroll and basic human resource duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three plus years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents as necessary.

Ability to professionally communicate with customers and vendors.

Preference will be given to candidates with a apparel experience, including working with factors and E-commerce sales.
