Summary: The Accounting Office Clerk should have a comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accounting practices and strong communication skills. They ensure financial information and accounting records are accurate and up-to-date and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Additionally, the Accounting Office Clerk should be well-organized and able to perform general administrative duties for the entire Administrative Office in addition to the accounting duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The job duties, responsibilities, and requirements represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability but may not be all-inclusive. Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.

· Solid understanding of the principles and processes of bookkeeping and general accounting

· Performing clerical work and office support for Administrative Office, including receiving and processing mail

· Provide support when needed for common area supply ordering and breakrooms

· Processing incoming and outgoing wires

· Handling subpoena data requests

· Performing AVS and SSI verifications

· Processing ATM settlements

· Compiling weekly and quarterly DFPI certification

· Clearing weekly Accounts Payable OFAC hits

· Saving and processing team members monthly corporate credit card statements

· Posting CO-OP monthly billing

· Assisting with year-end audit requests

Requirements:

· High School Diploma

· 1 to 3 years of bookkeeping or related experience

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid California Class C Driver License, a method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions, and at least minimum automobile insurance coverage as required by the State of California
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
