Accounting Manager, PGA

The Opportunity
Delaware North Patina Group is searching for an Accounting & Finance Manager to join our team at Patina Group supporting the PGA account. In this role, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions including performing financial reporting, closing the books, consolidating financial results, reviewing reports, and performing accounts payable invoice approvals. As an Accounting Manager, you will also work with the subsidiary leadership and Global Business Services (Corporate Accounting) team to continuously improve efficacy handoffs or transitions of work.

This role will be primarily remote with some additional travel may be required.

Responsibilities
Manages the accounting function for the assigned units, including direct supervision of business unit accounting and cash room associates and the management, creation, review, and approval of accounting reports.
Manages staff accountants in the administration of internal controls and audits of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and high-quality delivery of all services.
Translates strategy into operational goals and objectives and then executes against those strategies and standards.
Manages the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes for the operations.
Effectively manages the operations finance and accounting associates by providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring and administering annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Supports annual plan and projection process for business unit, provides insightful review of year-over-year changes and recommends areas of focus to improve operating margins.
Leads or assists with ad hoc analyses of the finances and prepares reports to facilitate decision making.
Collaborate with other teams, functions, and data owners across the company to align on process and data issues and to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implemented.
Build financial reports / dashboards 
Financial modeling for planning purposes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or associate’s degree in business related curriculum required.

MBA preferred.
At least 5-7 years of accounting experience including previous supervisory experience (cash management, inventory control and auditing experience a plus).
Hospitality industry experience required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
FP&A experience with modeling 
Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management.
Strong computer skills, including Excel and accounting software.
Understanding of how to drive effective performance management.
Facilitation, detailed collaboration, and effective communication.
Flexibility to travel to support other markets as required, up to 15%.
