Accounting Manager – Logistics

Successful domestic and international logistics company located in the South Bay is looking for an Accounting Manager. While overseeing a small team, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for month / quarter / year-end closes, assisting with preparation of consolidated financial statements, account analysis and reconciliation, general ledger and fixed assets management, as well as corporate and sales tax filings. The Accounting Manager will also enhance accounting policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency, review journal entries, play a key role in various audits and the budgetary process, prepare financial reporting documents, and analyze balance sheets. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with internal/external auditors, the FP&A team, and other departments to help maintain continuity. 

  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • CPA and public accounting experience is extremely preferred.
  • At least seven years of accounting experience is needed.
  • At least two years of experience in a management capacity.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge.
  • Experience with multi-entity organizations is a plus.
  • ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are required. System implantation is a plus.
