GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports and statements for various development projects.
This position reports to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and construction draw processes
· Manage the company’s financial accounts, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
· Handle the company’s transactions and debts and do cash flow forecasting
· Perform the company’s financial audits
· Monitor and analyze financial accounting data
· Develop, improve, and maintain investor schedules for numerous multi-level ownership and property entity structures
· Interface with outside audit and tax firms, banks, lenders, and investors
· Understand and interpret operating agreements, loan documents, and any other legal agreements to comply with applicable accounting obligations and/or reporting covenants
· Reconcile and ensure accuracy of cash, inter-company, and investment accounts
· Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives
· Working with appropriate personnel to fulfill ongoing and ad hoc requests from investors and senior management for financial information
· Assist project accountant with other payable assignments and accounting tasks

· Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Experience with any large ERP software (Yardi, Timberline)
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related
· MBA/CPA a plus
· 5-7 years of progressive experience
