Responsibilities: Job SummaryThe Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the general ledger and performs other accounting duties related to month-end close cycle including review and management of senior and staff level accountants.
This individual also assists the Director of Accounting with the external audit, external party data requests, and other projects as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees and manages company’s general ledger activitySupervises, trains, and develops senior and staff level accounting personnelMonitors, reviews, and maintains proper controls and separation of duties within accountingAssists Director of Accounting/Controller with ad hoc financial data requestsPrepares cash flow and liquidity related reports for Director of AccountingMaintains partnerships with other finance and corporate departmentsManages and reviews various balance sheet reconciliationsReviews and posts journal entries related to month end close activitiesReviews periodic variance analysis and reports notable activity to managementAssists Director of Accounting with technical accounting research as neededResponsible and accountable for managing direct reportsPreparation and presentation of performance evaluations of direct reportsMonitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practicesCreates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policiesOther Job Duties – As Assigned Qualifications: Education/Experience:CPA RequiredBachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, prior supervisory experience strongly preferredExperience with accounting general ledger ERP software, experience with Financial Force preferred.Proficient in use of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
