About the role

The Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising the accounts’ payable function, including such activities as the timely payment of payroll, all vendor invoices, expense vouchers and the maintenance of accurate records and control reports.

Responsibilities
Processes all invoices, expense claim forms and facilities rental payments.
Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of the library’s purchasing system and ensures all procedures are in place before processing for payment.
Prepares weekly cheque runs and prepares cheques for mailing to vendors.

Corresponds with vendors as required.
Issues manual cheques as required for immediate payment.
Maintains reports as required for periodic and year-end financial statements.
Issues U.S.

funds cheques and obtains international money orders for foreign vendors as required.
Reconciles vendor statements and records invoices from out of province vendors where the provincial sales tax is to be self-assessed.
Maintain accounts payable system both electronic and paper formats.

Maintains and updates Accounts Payable vendor files purging data appropriately.
Records all Branch Funds Reports and reconciles branch bank accounts.
Registers and distributes library credit cards to employees.
Assists the purchaser as required for issuing blanket purchase orders to vendors.
Prepares major vendor reports as required.
Performs all payroll functions in the absence of the payroll clerk and assist as required both on an intermittent and seasonal basis.

Keeps up to date and well informed on payroll issues and governmental payroll regulations.
Oversees Branch Cash Management System, trains branch staff, identifies and resolves issues.
Prepares annual population catchments figures for the Board Planning Committee.
Perform accounting reconciliations as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator, personal computer, and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Ability to effectively supervise the accounts payable activities and coordinate office functions and details essential to the efficient operation of the accounts payable area.
Ability to prepare and process records and reports accurately.
Ability to coordinate and schedule processing requirements for complex automated systems.

Full-time
LAX, Santa Monica and The Getty Center.

Candidate requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business or accounting.
Two years of work experience involving accounts payable and payroll
$70,000 to $75,000 annually.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week.

Compensation depends on your experience.

About 911 Covid Testing: 911 Covid Testing is looking for Covid-19 test technicians to join our 100 person strong team.

We have testing sites at Santa Monica, Brentwood LAX and a Mobile Response Team that you will work at interchangeably.

To be a successful team member, you must be detailed oriented, as quality and accuracy are our highest priority.

All staff will receive top of the line PPE equipment, including N95 Mask’s, face shield, gown, and gloves.

Your safety is our top priority we follow all safety protocols specified by the CDC.

• Pay $20
– $30 per hour (DOE for Technicians)
• Flexible schedule.

• Shifts range between 6:00 am -12:00 midnight
• Fixed locations: Santa Monica, Brentwood and LAX
•$10.00 bonus per 5 star review.
