Accounting Manager

Canton Food Company, a Cash and Carry Food Distributor, a highly established business that has been serving Los Angeles and beyond for over 52 years has an opening for an experienced full time Accounting Manager for its Los Angeles location.

Job Requirements:

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage all Accounting Staff
  • Manage Heavy AP Processing
  • Manage AP Vendors and AR Customer Master File
  • Point of Sale Transaction Experience A Plus
  • Check and Balance Cash, Credit/Debit Deposits with Cashier Reports
  • AP & AR Aging Reports and Month End Closing up to TB 
  • Reconcile Bank Statements 
  • General Ledger  
  • P&L and Financial Statements
  • File Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Tax Reports, Government Reports and Business Licenses 
  • Reconcile company Income Tax return and Franchise Tax return
  • Gain/Loss reported on Pension and Investment statements 
  • Fix Asset 571 Tax Filing, Reports, Depreciation Reports
  • Worker’s Comp/Liability Reports for Internal and Audit Purposes  
  • Time Management
  • Payroll 
  • QuickBooks

Requirements:

  • Full time – Monday to Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Minimum 5 years of Management Experience 
  • MS Proficient Office 10 Key
  • Strong ability to use calculation skills to include discounts, commissions, percentages and interest
  • High attention to detail 
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem skills to manage workflow and priorities
