ACCOUNTING MANAGER
COMPANY INFORMATION:
We are working with a fast-growing accounting firm that specializes in accounting, advisory and consulting work primarily in the Restaurant/Retail industry who is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their dynamic and fast growing team.
DUTIES OF JOB:
– Prepare and analyze financial statements.
– Detail analysis of general ledger accounts.
– Prepare journal entries and supporting documents.
– Invoice and maintain accounts receivable.
– Prepare and maintain detailed schedules of all balance sheet accounts.
– Reconcile bank accounts for multiple bank and credit card accounts.
– Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules.
– Process payroll using various payroll companies. i.e. ADP, Paychex payroll.
Special projects:
– Assist with transition of new clients.
– Convert the clients existing chart of accounts to a standardized model.
– Create customized forms and procedures to their needs.
– Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
– Recreate financials for previous periods when necessary.
– Convert the client’s data from their existing accounting software to QuickBooks software.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accountancy or a related field.
– 5-7 or more years experience; Preferably in the Food or Retail industry.
– Must have experience working in a high volume environment.
– Must be extremely strong in the general ledger as well as bank reconciliations.
– Must have experience using QuickBooks.
– Excel skills required.
– Must have shared services experience.
– Multi-tasking is a must, as this position handles numerous diverse clients.
– Must have excellent communication skills.
Salary Range for Accounting Manager: $80,000 – $95,000 annually (based on experience)
