Accounting Manager

Financial Additions has partnered with a widely recognized and rapidly expanding company in their search for an Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate will excel at ensuring the accuracy of all our organizational systems for gathering data and the quality of our staff’s reports.

They will exhibit strong interpersonal skills and value on high regard the attention to detail of the staff they manage.

They must posses a strong understanding of all types of financial operations and look to provide recommendations for improving accounting methods.

They will directly lead two staff accountants, payroll coordinator, and accounts payable coordinator.

They will prepare monthly financial statements and general ledger account reconciliation and analysis in a timely manner.

We also look for this manager on occasion to implement new financial reports and make suggestions to better our accounting department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Overall supervision of all staff.

Ensuring the information, the staff produces is accurate, well organized in their day to day tasks while collaboration well with others.

Overall supervision of all staff Interview and approve all new hires Provide effective training to new and current staff members.

Assign or re-assign work as necessary Supervise and input required monthly closing journal entries; maintain chart of accounts Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statements.

Distribute as required to management personnel.

Review internal controls on an ongoing basis and recommend necessary changes.

Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliation, analysis and supporting work papers.

Prepare ad hoc reports from accounting software.

Assist department managers with accounting-related questions and data requests.

Coordinate annual year-end audit and work paper preparation.

Complete special projects as required or assigned by Executive Management QUALIFICATIONS / STANDARDS Bachelors degree in accounting or related field Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting department Solid knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Ability to interact with all levels within the organization to achieve objectives Proficiency with computerized spreadsheet software Ability to prepare and analyze accounting reports Ability to supervise accounting staff Extremely organized with attention to detail
