Accounting Manager

We are a leading asset management firm, expanding our team and adding on a Corporate Accounting Manager to support our accounting team. This newly created position will play a crucial role in managing and leading a team of 7-8 accountants, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
  • Oversee technical accounting ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), lease accounting standards (ASC 842) and consolidations (ASC 810).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
  • Supervise and lead a team of 7-8 accountants, providing guidance and support in day-to-day activities.
  • Ad hoc project as requested including capital calls and distributions and system enhancements/implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting within asset management, private equity or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervising or management experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: Salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and alignment with the opportunity. Target hiring range is $130,000 – $150,000 annually + discretionary bonus.

Work type: Hybrid, one day remote, 4 days in office
