A well-respected software company has an immediate need for a determined Accounting Manager who will get results. The Accounting Manager controls the company’s daily operations, which includes handling ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, helping with regulatory reporting, and more. The individual in this role will ideally establish and scale the company’s accounting and finance operations. This long-term temporary employment opportunity is with a company based in Chatsworth, California. Major responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures
Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlines
Job Requirements:
– 10+ years of recent relevant financial experience
– Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
– Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
– Proven technical skills
– CPA/MBA preferred
– Proficiency in regulatory reporting
– Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
– Financial reporting experience
– Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
