Advanced stage start-up located in West Los Angeles is looking for an SEC – Accounting Consultant. While working with the Controller, the SEC – Accounting Consultant will be responsible for drafting, preparing, and filing SEC reports (i.e., 10Q & 10k reports, drafting footnotes, preparing proxy statements, conducting technical research, etc.). Additional duties for the SEC – Accounting Consultant include analyzing and preparing consolidated financial statements, analyzing investment balance sheets, managing reporting schedules, assisting with month / quarter / year-end close processes, cash flow and general ledger management, as well as account analysis. The SEC – Accounting Consultant will also analyze stock-based compensation and perform ad hoc reporting.
- Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
- At least five years of accounting experience.
- CPA is required.
- Big 4 is ideal.
- SEC reporting experience is REQUIRED.
- IPO exposure is extremely preferred.
