We’re are looking for the right Accounting Assistant to come and join our team as we continue to scale our efforts.
About the Role
We are looking for an Accounting Assistant who is responsible for owning the accounts receivable function and assisting in monthly accounting functions. You will help with key parts of the accounting operations and handle most day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Accounts Receivable duties, including communicating with customers and recording receipt of payment
- Handle Accounts Payable duties, including the payment of monthly business invoices and quarterly royalty reports
- Help the controller with the month-end close process to ensure monthly publishing of accurate financial data to business partners, including timely analysis and communication of budget to actual variance and executive reporting
- Respond to supplier inquiries regarding quarterly royalty reports
- Record invoices from the sales department in accounting software
- Track and apply customer payments
- Deposit checks received from customers and apply cash receipts in our ERP system
- Other accounting and financial analysis projects
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a professional office environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and associated deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience managing telephone, email and in-person communications
- Strong computer literacy – Google, Microsoft Suite, experience with NetSuite/YayPay is a plus
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment
Preference for this position to be based in our San Francisco, Cleveland or Southern California offices, but will consider remote candidates as well.
