Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an Accounting Analyst position in Buffalo, NY.

– 5P Responsibilities for this Accounting Analyst position include but are not limited to: Performs basic accounting functions which require knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of reconciliation functions Answers customer inquiries Research problems and or complaints.
Creates and edits spreadsheets Under direct supervision, performs bookkeeping and accounting tasks Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers Verify assessed value and account numbers Access tax maps to view parcel dimensions and individual cities/towns for tax payment information Access County & City of Buffalo Property Tax rolls to determine correct description & owner, as well as tax amounts that may be due Qualifications for this Accounting Analyst position: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting typically preferred 3-5 years of experience Excellent knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles.
Advanced functions with spreadsheet software such as Excel, QuickBooks, etc.
Good analytical skills.
Proficient in mathematics.
Ability to follow procedures and keep records.
