Accountant and Bookkeeper

Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, commensurate with experienceLocation: Los Angeles, CA (80% remote but will work with Accountant Owner and clients, as well)Schedule: 30-40 hours per week ~9a-5p, somewhat flexibleImportant:+ MUST HAVE FULL HOME OFFICE SET UP WITH NO BACKGROUND NOISE+ Must currently live in Los Angeles, CA area.+ Pass a criminal background check.Kaleo Marketing?s accounting/financial consulting firm seeks a Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant that will grow with the company and handle multiple job tasks and clients; covering the full spectrum of bookkeeping, online programs, and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate must possess the following attributes:+ Has a quiet and professional home office and enjoys working from home.+ Is trustworthy, organized, and punctual.+ Has exceptional work ethic and strong ability to work from home with no supervision.+ Detail oriented and comfortable with large amounts of data entry transactions without error.+ Can remain sharp and focus for full day of work.+ Ability to maintain professional work schedule with good time management and organization.+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple competing tasks to meet deadlines.+ Ability to work with Quickbooks, and ability to troubleshoot transactions.+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (data sorting, formulas, pivot table, etc.).+ Experience with office administration: google business, cloud and paper filing, manage contact list, calendar, manage existing clients and prospects (holiday cards, gift, thank you card, etc.)+ Proactive problem-solver that is not afraid to recommend a solutions to problems.+ Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.+ Exercises good judgment and maintains a high level of confidentiality with data and client information.

+ Strong professional communication skills.+ Must have strength in achieving results via both email and phone professionally and tactfully (will interact with clients and customers).+ Takes initiative, communicates with supervisor regularly regarding transactions and concerns.Other Responsibilities: + Daily morning manager meeting.+ Daily posting of Bank Feed or transactions to QuickBooks Online, troubleshooting issues.+ Day-to-day accounting duties: A/R, A/P, payroll, journal entries.+ A/R: prepares accounts receivables transactions for large data: retrieves data and converts to Excel format, prepares invoices, monitors receivables for payments and resolves outstanding amounts.+ A/P: check preparation.

Monitors vendor schedules and payments.

Manages and reconciles credit card transactions.+ Ensures all previous week’s transactions post by End of Day Monday.+ Submits weekly completion reports for all posted transactions.+ Understands Chart of Accounts and does clean up.+ Prepares and processes Payroll with multi-level department.

Manages personnel data.+ Organizes, manages, and maintains accurate online folder tree filing.+ Categorizes, organizes, and labels all incoming paperwork daily via ShareFile, and Google Drive.+ Reviews Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet Reports.+ Assists with new file clean up and sets up and manages projects, as needed.+ Responds to calls/emails promptly, schedules appointments with current and prospective clients and vendors.+ Routine office tasks such as printing/copying/scanning/filing/mailingJob Requirements and Experience: + Min 1 year of QuickBooks Experience (specifically QuickBooks Online) successful candidates will be tested.+ Proficient in general computer use (will be tested).+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (will be tested).+ Google Drive Folder Management.+ GoToMeeting or Zoom Meeting Experience (or other online meetings).+ Complete a Background check (security and trust are of the upmost importance).+ Must have home office with fast and reliable internet service.+ Must provide 3 professional references.+ Required work authorization.
