ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A Los Angeles based family office with a concentration in commercial real estate is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to perform full cycle accounting services. Will also assist with complex accounting transactions for asset acquisitions, dispositions and corporate accounting. This is a high volume position with ample opportunity for growth, for the right individual. The ideal candidate is an independent, self-starter who has solid experience of handling property level accounting as well as corporate accounting for multiple real estate partnerships, corporations and individuals.TRANSACTIONS• Accounts are paid in a timely manner and outstanding payments are collected promptly.• Complete periodic bank reconciliations• Reconcile periodic credit card statements• Maintain the chart of accounts• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system• Assist with special assignments and ad hoc projectsREPORTING• Issue timely and complete financial statements• Complete month-end close process, including reconciliation and analysis of the general ledger, balance sheet accounts, and profit and loss accountsCOMPLIANCE• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsACCOUNTING SYSTEMS• High level of proficiency in MS Office software applications• QuickBooks Accountant 2013• YardiMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required• Minimum 8+ years of experience in real estate property level accounting is required along with experience in general corporate accounting.• Public Accounting experience desired but not required• Federal and state tax experience preferred• Ability to prioritize, synthesize multiple sources of information and effectively manage multiple projects, in a deadline-driven environment• Ability to communicate verbally and writing, with all levels of employees and management, in a highly professional manner• Highly analytical and attentive to detail• Possess highest level of integrity and professionalismJob Type: Full-timeExperience:• CPA required, 8 years real estate property level accounting: 8 years (Required)Education:• Bachelor’s (Required)Location:• Los Angeles, CA 90024 (Required)
