Aadi Bioscience: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for revenue and cost accounting, month-end close, equity administration, AP processing, assisting with SEC reporting, and participating in SOX compliance.

The Senior Accountant interfaces with all levels of the Company, including individuals outside of the organization.Primary Job FunctionsPrepare journal entries and reconciliations for various month-end close processes, including clinical trials, CMC accruals, preclinical studies, and similar related accruals, fixed assets, leases, payroll, AP accruals, equity activities, prepaids, etc.Manage semi-monthly payroll and reportingManage product revenue and gross-to-net accounting analysisMaintain inventory standard costs and ensure proper reporting and valuationWorks in a team-based environment to issue timely, accurate, and complete financial statements on a monthly basisProvide support for external financial audits and tax reportingSupports SEC reporting, including forms 10-Q and 10-KSupports SOX 404 compliance processesEquity administrator for stock option and ESPP planSupports AP processes, including vendor setup and clinical trial and manufacturing invoice processingManages contract purchase order processResponsible for various federal and state tax filings, including Delaware franchise tax, California sales and use tax, FIN 114, and San Diego property tax filingsAssists with ad hoc projects and prepare responses to various requests for informationBachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related disciplinePreferred active CPA license5+ years related experience in life sciencesPreferred 2-3+ years experience in public accountingExperience with public, commercial drug developmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to approach others tactfully, focusing on resolving issues and maintaining confidentialityDetail-oriented with a high degree of accuracyStrong contributor in a team environmentAbility to prioritize and plan work activities to successfully meet tight deadlinesAbility to adapt and work in a quickly changing environment, managing competing demands and changing approaches or methods to fit the situation bestStrong critical thinking and analytical skills to synthesize complex or diverse information from data, policies, procedures, and regulationsSolid understanding of GAAPProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting/financial systemsOTHER REQUIREMENTSThis role can be based in Los Angeles OR remotely in the U.S.
