Billing Coordinator

Los Angeles law firm seeks a Billing Coordinator with 3 years of billing experience (professional services environment) to coordinate the client billing process including client and matter set-up; reviewing, preparing and maintaining billing memos, instructions sheets, narrative corrections, transfers, and invoices for attorney review; coordinating bill processing, preparing and assembling bills and attachments; and eBilling to client.

The Billing Coordinator will know special billing requirements for assigned clients; and handle all eBilling issues including deductions and short pays.

Selected candidate will liaise with internal staff, client, and vendors when transitioning to eBilling platform.
Additional duties include collaborating with eBilling Supervisor to support eBilling systems by adding/removing user accounts, resetting passwords, assigning proper security levels, entering budgets, status reports, and matter profiles in various sub-systems; populating, maintaining and updating data for eBilling clients in 3E billing system and client sub-systems to ensure all relevant information is correlated; proactively monitoring eBilling progress including status reporting in eBilling systems, work-in-progress, client, matter and timekeeper set-ups, and other key process aspects; resolving complex eBilling issues, including rejections and deductions, are monitored and resolved timely; testing and troubleshooting software applications, summarizing findings; assessing and enhancing existing billing practices and developing strategies to streamline and improve firm processes; and conducting ad hoc projects.

The hours are 9:00 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m.
Salary range is $60,000 to $75,000 annually D.O.E.
Position is currently remote but will return on-site
A high school diploma is required; a college degree or courses in accounting, business or related field are a plus.

Candidate must have strong technology skills, including third party eBilling software and an ability to leverage technology in work processes.

eBilling Hub experience is required.

Knowledge of the 3E/Elite billing/timekeeping system is helpful.

The Legal Billing Coordinator must have knowledge of legal terms and processes.

Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while providing outstanding customer service.
