Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Service Desk Representative is a high profile customer service position delivering beyond our member’s expectations.
They contribute to member retention, as well as new membership sales.
This person has the responsibility of being responsive to members; checking members in and acting as a resource for members’ needs of goods and services while in the club facilities.
The Service Desk Representative acts as the clubs first line of communication with members and creates a friendly and welcoming environment.Specific ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsGreet members/guests enthusiastically and efficiently handle the check-in processAnswer telephone and field callsSchedule massage appointments either in person or by phoneAssist members with purchases of retail goods and club servicesPresent membership information to prospective members, as well as refer them to Member Sales DepartmentBe knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active WellnessPromote club services and activitiesAssist with keeping the club well stocked and cleanInventory of food items as well as locker and laundry serviceMaintain communication log and lost & found ledgerHandle member injury and illness incident reportingAdminister emergency care to members and guests in need of assistanceWork as a TEAM with all other departmentsOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisorOther FunctionsBe knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active WellnessPromote club services and activitiesAssist with keeping the club well stocked and cleanAttend Active Wellness site meetings and trainingHandle injury and illness and security incident reportingRequirements:Qualifications and Education RequirementsPrevious health club personal training experience is a plus.Basic accounting skills, customer service skills, results oriented, basic computer skills, ability to multi-task, and commitment to the fitness industryMinimum GED/High School Diploma or equivalentMust be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer serviceStrong verbal communication skillsBasic computer skills, customer service skills, results oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industryAED/CPR/First Aid CertifiedProof of citizenship or legal statusPhysical and Working ConditionsAbility to take the responsibility for the health and safety of othersAbility to stand for several hours in the same shift; ability to lift 25 lbsFitness club environmentMust follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
