Estimating Arborist

Internal Job DescriptionACRT?Pacific is currently seeking energetic experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors.

Our Estimating Arborist positions are ideal for seasoned professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation or related disciplines and with experience in these fields and line of work.??Contingent at the approval of our clients, our Arborists work closely with our customer?s Electric Estimators in preventing vegetation conflicts in reconstruction and new construction of high voltage power lines.

They also perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines; Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.

Note: This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive role.????REQUIREMENTS: ??Must be 21 years of age or older?1-year related experience in the green industry or related field OR a 2 or 4-year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Biology, Environmental studies or related field?Certified Arborist or Registered Professional Forester preferred or must become a Certified Arborist within 6 months of taking position.??3 -years utility vegetation management experience or 1-year minimum PG&E experience preferred??Experience in California regulated line clearance tree trimming work preferred?Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates?High level of communication and organization skills required?High level of Customer Service skills required?Experience working with data collection devices and GIS software desired?Basic understanding of computers and experience with Microsoft Office Suite Required?Self-motivated, organized, production oriented?Strong verbal and written communication skills?Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (available nights and weekends as needed)?Valid Driver License?
