VP Creative Advertising

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative audio/visual advertising campaign strategies for both streaming (Hulu) & theatrical titles, in conjunction with senior management and filmmakers.
  • Conceptually create all advertising campaigns and strategizes creative to optimize use on various digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, FEPs and site driven placements. This includes trailers, TV spots, online ads, viral videos, clips for publicity and online use, and internal presentation reels.
  • Work with Finance to create, maintain, and approve creative advertising budgets.
  • Select outside creative vendors or assigns work to the in-house creative group.
  • Partner with the analytics team to review the success of campaigns and optimize/adjust accordingly.
  • Present campaigns to key Searchlight executives, filmmakers, artists, and other Disney divisions.
  • Work with digital and brand strategy to craft trailer launch plans.
  • Monitor review quotes, culls, accolades and awards tracking.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in creative advertising at either a studio or creative agency. Previous experience working with streaming studios is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of current theatrical and digital advertising trends, formats and influences.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and present campaigns to management and filmmakers.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain creative budgets.
  • Facility with analyzing the effectiveness of creative advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate professional and administrative personnel.

Required Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or a related discipline preferred.
