Key responsibilities

•Owns the application life cycle from implementation through improvement, testing, planning and optimization to improve the business operations, using skills like LEAN and ITIL.

•Establish and maintain the baseline for application performance and availability.

Responsible for defining the system goals and KPIs and define how they are measured.

Responsible for sharing that information with the business and associate them to business metrics to drive business improvement.

•Responsible for managing the support organization and working as the escalation point for support issues while ensuring SLAs are met

•Responsible for all documentation about the application including overall purpose, data flows, infrastructure, and test plans according to regional standards

•Providing specialist knowledge for their application to all stakeholders

•Owns incidents and problems across system landscape and expected to drive any P1 calls with MIM and ensure proper problem management is followed up and concluded

•Change owners for all changes that involve the application, including underlying infrastructure changes to ensure the changes are reviewed, signed-off, implemented and validated

•Responsible for coordinating communications with terminal Labor Relations and Legal that could be impacted by application usage and changes.

•Providing input in design and functional specifications

•Producing deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assisting in post implementation support

•Partnering with business liaisons and technical teams to understand and define system goals, issues and technical system requirements

•Partnering with designers and development team to system functionality is built to a high quality

•Responsible for ensuring that the system lifecycle is followed, and all IT governance processes and procedures are adhered to

•Responsible for application upgrades, including hardware, software or operating systems, interfaces, performance tuning, analysing data and trends

•Responsible for initiation of improvement projects

•Perform business service reviews with terminal operations and stakeholders at least monthly

•Responsible for exploring and enhancing modernization testing for the applications where possible.

•Being Primary contact for 2nd shift work.

We are looking for

•Five+ years’ experience in terminal and transportation industry.

Experience in modernization technology is also requested.

•Six or more years’ experience in general IT management.

•Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Degree in computer science, business administration or related field preferred.
