FTL Dispatcher

Ajilon is looking for an FTL Dispatcher within the city of Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Working with about 8-10 drivers
  • Maximizing each vehicle
  • Answer about 50-100 calls per day
  • Respond to about 40-50 emails per day
  • Ensuring each driver has taken their lunch break
  • Having knowledge of where each driver is at all times

Skills:

  • 2 years of FTL dispatching experience
  • Self-starter with strong drive and initiative
  • Attention to detail / excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal

Pay Rate: $23.00-$26.00 / hr.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7AM – 4PM

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90045

Job Requirements:

  • Prepare daily dispatch schedule for drivers
  • Disseminate information and dispatch drivers to specified location
  • Set daily schedules for drivers
  • Provide excellent customer service to drivers
  • Perform dispatcher duties when workload
  • Discuss dispatch issues with drivers, customers and managers
  • Resolve delivery problems with customers or drivers
  • Use the dispatch system to assign drivers to loads
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues with drivers and customers
  • Conduct quarterly safety meetings with drivers
  • Assist drivers and customer to problem
  • Direct daily activities of regional drivers
  • Dispatching drivers for airport pickups
  • Organize necessary paperwork for drivers
  • Inform drivers of operational issues
  • Followed as if were the dispatcher
  • Communicate load information to truck drivers
  • Inspect drivers’ appearance and physical condition prior to dispatch
  • Ensure all drivers within the fleet
  • Ensure all drivers show up for shift
