Powerfull Electric: Director Of Field Operations

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops goals for the field operation department and ensures approval by the CEO.Leads field operations in implementing the strategic plan.Assignments of Superintendent and Foreman positions.Support superintendents for the duration of the jobsEnsures that all new projects are well researched and exhaustive consultation and involvement of all the stakeholders are undertaken in order to ensure quality products and profitable sales.Ensures that the joint ventures projects that are undertaken are profitable.Assist in developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations.Assist with monitoring the performance of superintendents to ensure they function within allotted project-based budgets and schedules.Ensure that operational processes stay within agreed-upon budgets and timelines.Implement, manage, and evaluate filed operation processes and procedures, in accordance with the standards and procedures set out by the organization.Improve operating procedures to increase profits and/or make Powerfull Electric more efficient.Direct the day-to-day operations of the field.

Advise the VP of any project delays or budget challenges and identify options/alternatives.Establish a strong rapport with colleagues at the Powerfull Group as well as with clients, and other construction contract companies.Assign and coordinate all trade field assignments with the needs of various projects.Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman.

Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on task and that Required on Job (ROJ) dates are provided to the team.Document project field issues that impact the budget, quality, or schedule, and provide to the team.Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact the budget, quality, or schedule.Identify projects with Self-Perform opportunities and assist in the development of the Self-Perform proposal.Manage Review of Capabilities, Accomplishments, and progress for field tradespeople.Support Business Development, Estimating, and the Project Executives (PX’s) with the development of operational plans for all pursuits.Support the Project Executive, Project Superintendent to support the development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities.Responsible for all updates on Level one and labor resource planning (LRP) as part of the schedule.Commitment for the training program for superintendents and work with human resource department, to develop and implement the program downstream for all field personnel.
