This includes processing payroll, taxation forms and benefits, as well as maintaining employee data and records, handling payroll questions and completing any other tasks necessary for monitoring and overseeing a companys payroll process and benefits enrollments, terminations, and benefits coordination It involves updating this data, and have to track down any missing time sheets in a timely manner and resolve any issues with time sheets and other payroll data.

Position requires a great deal of confidentiality.

The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator performs the following functions: Conducts 401K, life insurance, dental, medical and all other benefit enrollments as necessary Initiates benefits in conjunction with HR for short term disability.

Provides benefit orientations, enrollments.

Processes and maintains all status change forms and pay changes for hourly/nonexempt employees in a timely manner.

Issues follows up on COBRA paperwork including enrollments and COBRA terminations.

Communicates with COBRA enrollees regarding timely COBRA payments.

Maintains hourly employee files.

Generates and disseminates various reports to necessary interest groups/employees.

Takes the daily employee call ins from the company voice mail and records them in the required computer file then contacting the Production Supervisors and applicable Managers and conveying the daily employee call in list prior to the time of the daily production meeting.

Updates attendance into payroll system attendance calendar.

Verifies the insurance carrier(s) billing statements post additions and terminations to ensure accurate billing.

Submits requests for additional benefit cards as needed for employees.

Processes all new hire, change, and employee termination data into payroll system including but not limited to W-4 and tax information, benefit payroll deductions.

Reviews and imports employee time cards into the payroll system.

Checks figures for accuracy and necessary approvals.

Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and makes any necessary adjustments prior to running the payroll.

Obtains necessary approvals.

Communicates with direct manger to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers, and rate changes.

Makes updates as necessary.

Processes special payrolls including a bonus payroll and year
– end adjustments.

Researches and resolves questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information such as PTO and benefits, banking, garnishment, workers compensation, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions and other changes.

Assists in special projects as assigned by management Entering of new hires, terminations, garnishments, direct deposit, employee changes, voluntary deductions etc.

Set up, prepare, process and terminate garnishments as necessary.

Processes any required adjustments to normal pay and stop payments.

Ensures that computing, withholding and deductions are done accurately.

Conducts all benefit enrollments and terminations such as health, medical, life etc., sends COBRA notification letter, and conducts COBRA payment tracking and COBRA terminations via carrier notification and employee enrollments.

Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related duties and performs other tasks as directed.

Educational, Experience Based, and Skill Qualifications: Associates degree in business or related field preferred, Five (5 years of computerized payroll and benefits enrollments and terminations experience preferred.Expertise with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point and office equipment (e.g.

copiers, fax machines, email, postage meters, label makers, printers etc.) Must have effective time management and organizational skills, be detail oriented and adhere to tight deadlines in an accurate manner, able to effectively communicate with people in stressful situations, be able to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
