Job Requirements:
- Utilize laboratory computer systems to document all actions taken concerning patient and quality control
- Perform specialized clinical laboratory testing in all clinical laboratory disciplines
- Perform clinical laboratory tests using standard procedures
- Oversee work performed by laboratory assistants and clinical laboratory trainees
- Perform complex laboratory tests in the clinical laboratory to provide physicians with rapid and accurate laboratory test results
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance
- Comply with laboratory quality control program
- Perform quality control procedures on laboratory instruments
- Review clinical study documents and reports
- Perform and report clinical tests in various sections of the laboratory
- Perform quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data
- Perform quality control testing as required in laboratory policies and procedures
- Perform routine preventative maintenance following laboratory policies and procedures and manufacturers’ guidelines
- Perform laboratory testing of patient specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory
