What You Will Be Doing
- Build out our in-house engineering from outsourced vendor and manage vendor relationships.
- Provide hands-on support and maintenance of our backend until engineering team has been built.
- Define and execute our technology strategy and product roadmap.
- Implement standard methodologies and best practices to improve effectiveness of your technology team(s).
- Manage technology budget and oversee the thoughtful utilization of its resources.
- Fulfill additional requirements as needed.
What You Need for this Position
- Graduate level degree preferred, but not required if you are experienced
- Previous experience working as a CTO or VP of Engineering, with a track record of scaling SaaS applications
- Experience scaling start-ups
- 10+ years of management / strategic management experience within a SaaS environment
- Experience building software teams
Nice to have:
- Industry experience working with local government entities (Cities, Special Districts, Counties, Municipalities, etc.)
